Coburg Medical Centre Urgent Care

DecoCorp delivered a complete fitout across both levels. The ground floor was planned for high patient flow, with reception and waiting areas, consultation and procedure rooms, isolation room, sterilisation space, amenities, staff areas and building services. Upstairs, the team created a GP consultation suite, pathology space, administration areas, practice manager’s office, amenities and staff breakout facilities. A major part of the works was the new lift shaft, built from prefabricated concrete panels to support access between floors. This required careful planning across road closures, traffic control, crane operations, engineering sign offs, panel manufacture and lift installer requirements. Early investigations allowed hidden building conditions to be managed before they could affect delivery. DecoCorp also accelerated key works through extended shifts, added labour and faster procurement to protect critical dates. The result was a fully fitted medical and urgent care centre delivered on time and on budget, ready for ForHealth to begin operations as planned.
