Maroochydore Medical Centre & Urgent Care

The new centre brings together 15 GP consult rooms, pathology, procedure rooms, treatment bays, nurse stations, isolation and triage spaces, sterilisation, administration areas, staff amenities, a dedicated communications room and storage. With a fixed opening date and the Christmas period approaching, the team moved quickly on procurement from day one. Decocorp split the floor plan into work zones so in ground hydraulic and sewer works could progress while overhead services were installed elsewhere. This kept activity moving across the slab on ground build without losing control of safety, access or sequencing. Mechanical services were assessed early, allowing suitable replacement units to be found locally and worked into the program. The height of the purlin roof meant elevated work platforms and mobile plant were needed for services installation, so clear site zones and daily coordination kept trades moving safely around each other. In the final week, Decocorp worked side by side with ForHealth’s IT and operations teams as the client prepared to open. Daily pre starts aligned labour, materials and access, helping the centre begin operational set up before practical completion and meet the required handover date.
