Sisters of Mercy Community Facility

The project began with a full internal strip out, followed by the rebuild of administration areas, kitchen and function spaces, a cleaners room, data and communications room, and compactus archive storage. Externally, Decocorp delivered a new entry and awning, full front facade recladding, security mesh to windows, car park resurfacing and a landscape uplift. The archive areas required careful control of temperature, humidity and light levels to protect sensitive records. Level 1 was built to house compactus storage within a 120 minute fire rated archive facility, supported by certified mechanical performance and confirmed lux levels before handover. Structural upgrades were planned around detailed slab scanning, allowing new steel beams, columns and plates to be installed while protecting the existing structure. Access plans were also updated as facade works progressed, keeping deliveries and site movement organised throughout construction. With a fixed occupation date, Decocorp sequenced approvals, compactus delivery, commissioning and final external works so the facility could be handed over on time. The result is a secure, climate controlled archive and refreshed administration building ready for immediate use.
