Decocorp’s construction team is renowned for its agile ability to create beauty out of chaos.  Using cutting-edge technology, in-depth knowledge and experience, as well as gold-standard communication strategies, the team delivered a showstopper administration building to the wonderful staff and students of Umina Beach Public School.

Located in a beautiful part of the world, the admin building at Umina Beach Public School is a busy hive of activity – bustling with staff, students, and visitors throughout the day.  The Decocorp team was tasked with finishing a detailed design; completing a live environment construct and build; and bringing it all the way to delivery, during very challenging times of covid lockdowns, material price hikes, and material and resource shortages. 

Our team effortlessly worked around a busy school schedule, while ensuring the live project was very well demarcated and safe from inquisitive children’s eyes.  The tired, worn-out admin area was ultimately refreshed and repurposed with a public foyer, new admin area complete with clerical and print room, as well as a designated sick bay – extending the overall footprint of the building.  

The Decocorp team redesigned the footing systems to ensure awning compatibility for the bearing capacity of the soil, installing a structural steel awning to create weather protection, together with a DDA compliant ramp specifically located for wheelchair access. 

The key to Decocorp’s success was exceptional communication and coordination with the staff, Principal and all stakeholders.  Utilising the local tradesmen, subcontractors and suppliers in that area, Decocorp gives back to the community and ensures that local businesses are supported.

The result was a stunning and functional multi-purpose administration building that will serve this wonderful school community for many decades to come.
